WP6 Earthquake and Tsunami Large-scale Pilot
The Tsunami and Earthquake large scale pilot builds an event-driven, time-constrained, always up to date flow aimed at providing timely warnings and well informed decision support for tsunami and earthquake emergencies.
This pilot builds out of earthquake damage loss assessment tools, shakemaps generation, and tsunami simulations, and drive warnings and a satelite-based emergency mapping system. Earthquake damage assessment is built on OpenBuildingMap, tsunami simulations are undertaken by TsunAWI. An overall time-constrained workflow orchestrator is overlayed on top of the LEXIS technology services, allowing an on-time, reliable deployment on both HPC and cloud resources, with the support of the LEXIS data infrastructure services for data set accesses.
